Kenneth Chaim Fink is President and CEO of Tamar-Fink, Inc. and Family Wealth Counselors, LLC. These are national consulting firms which represent many of America’s wealthiest families. Ken’s family wealth counseling process helps clients structure their estate plans based on their fundamental values – the family mission.
Tamar-Fink, Inc., established in 1986, is an insurance and life settlement firm that has brokered over a billion dollars of insurance transactions.
Ken is a member of the National Association of Family Wealth Counselors and was named the 1998 Family Wealth Counselor of the Year after creating and implementing plans that would generate more than $600 million dollars for charities. Ken was also the recipient of the 2006 Preston Hotchkis Distinguished Achievement Award for his generous charitable and business contributions to the community. In addition to being a popular national public speaker, Ken has published numerous articles on tax, estate and charitable giving in leading national and regional publications. He is a co-contributor to the book, Getting to the Heart of the Matter, which has received critical acclaim nationwide. Ken has been featured in Forbes magazine and quoted in many of the nation’s newspapers as an expert in the field of insurance and charitable planned giving.
Ken is a life time and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, the nation’s leading insurance sales organization. He is a member of the prestigious International Forum and Top of the Table organizations which are limited to approximately 500 of the leading insurance agents in the world. He is also a member of the Planned Giving Counsel, Minnesota Life Underwriters, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting.
Family Wealth Counselors has consulted for more than a dozen local, national and international charitable organizations such as Aish HaTorah, the Alzheimer’s Association, Children’s Home Society, Dollars for Scholars, Hebrew Theological College, and Shalom Foundation. Ken has served as President and Vice President of his Synagogue and has sat on the boards of countless charities such as APAIC, Hasbara Fellowships, the Jewish Community Relations Counsel, The Jewish National Fund, The Shalom foundation and Torah Academy. He and his wife Nicole are founders of Aish Minnesota, Minnesota’s leading adult Jewish educational organization.
Ken graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received advanced certification as a Family Wealth Counselor in 1997. He is an avid skier and tennis player. He and his wife Nicole and dog Nemo live in sunny Minneapolis, Minnesota.
